Everything seems to be different after the day of 30th august ! my life schedule has been changed 180 degree, oh well but do i enjoy or used to the life, i may say i am still adjusting with lots of trial and error ! i still miss my days at home where mom is around and sisters helping in every single piece of life ! Life has got be changed to become more challenging ! trying to comfort myself that's part of growth in our life - seeing everything in a new phase , accepting every happiness and sadness in a new phase , seems like its an amazing journey of life.

The one and only pic that we took at Ho Chi Minh City, too heavy to bring the camera around and its not safe to bring out a big bag out at the city........

The shopping that i had ........ lots more but how to take all and show all ? surely it won't be any regret to do shopping there ...... lots that i wanted to bring back but guess that will be too much of more than enough.

ohhhhhh bread bread bread.......... delicious " ban mi " from ho chi minh..... its a must try when u r there......they have traditional french style baguette that make ur saliva drool if you are a fan of bread ! Watch out for those who are going to Ho Chi Minh..... the only trustable taxi that u must wave for is the VINASUN..... there are lots of imitated taxi that will burn ur pocket.

Went for a french dinner but i think i can cook better than that...... the soup is nice which i can't cook for that taste yet but for the lamb definetly i can cook better......ooopps getting a little proud here but trust me never order the lamb cutlet..... overalll rating for this restaurant is just worth a try and its tooo expensive.

A must try for all the coffee drinker out there..... the broken rice set is specially bought and flown in with me . Its all worth it because it makes the day and put a smile on the face after eating. Pho and spring roll tasted good tooo.

Dim sum in Ho Chi Minh they serve hk style dim sum but i am never a great fan of dim sum sooo we did not order much.

This is how local vietnamese set up their business . Its a good experience to observe how their daily life is all about . Ho chi minh is still a developing country however people there are surviving well each day by supporting themselves on whatever they can earn.

To be continued on how true mindful eating help to lose weight , throughout the seven days i tried it out myself and i feel that it really helps...... it does help to make me feel so much lighter becos you dun gulp while u r mindful but u chew more times than u usually are.
Without knowing much what meditation is all about but i have curiosity to try it out. Its vipassana meditation that i have attended. Its all about purification and mindfulness for our insight. Its really a 'no regret ' choice made for this holiday of mine..... my holiday has never been sooo grateful for all these years but this year it just make a turn on it.
There are RULES n REGULATIONS to follow throughout the seven days and the first rules will be waking up before 4.30am to start walking meditation that sounds impossible but that wasn't that hard. Two meals per day , only breakfast and lunch and yet you dun feel hungry at night, that sounds amazing. Experiences of meditation must be reported to the monk, its called the interview and it sounds like it should be a serious talk but surprisingly monk are as friendly as you can imagine.
Its really a good lesson that i have learnt on how to control, manage and plan for our present life.

Being planned months ago that i will be attending Vipassana Meditation in KK....... before going for the meditation i had a few days of shopping and eating around in KK. In this trip i had all my favourites including my " ke li " and steam " 7 sing pan ". I am always a fan for western cuisine , and this time i tried out " LITTLE ITALY " its amazingly yummy and whoever is out there in kk its a " must try " from pizza to pasta and they have everything served . I am sorry that i did not get any pics from the food that i ordered its all becos i can't wait to try out the food ! Another kopitiam cuisine that i am fond of " old town " love the " nai cha " the most and ofcos the ipoh hor fun ...... ermm yummmy...... its all about food that i am talking about...... that's its for my 2 nights and 3 days stay....... Ohhh i did went for steamboat with porridge base toooo...... that was a good try.

Its the end of the year 2009, having a new year to begin, i am trying to search back for my soul after its been lost for many year. Will be joining a meditation retreat soon in KK hoping it will help to set me a mindful thinking and a better me for the years to come ! Trying to read for lots of article and books to get ready for the retreat and i think this article draw most of the attention to me.

Wow its been months that i have not updated my blog ! there are lots of queries why ! why ? i dun know but all i know i am getting lazier ! although there are lots of happening in life ! :0 ) good and bad ! oh well but that's life........ ! how's everyone and thanks for visiting my blog so often but thousands apologies for no new update on me ! and i just realise that i have not taken any pictures lately its all becos i dun think my camera is good in enough in capturing good pictures ! oh well..... here comes my greediness and unsatisfaction of my wants ! sorry , and i know i should feel contented with what i have ! i have not been doing scrapbooking for a quite a few months toooo.... been so busy with work lately its all becos of my students will be sitting their public exam this coming oct ! oh.... its still a long way but there are just too much to get prepared !

I am just about on my way to do more scrapping , its all because i have organised a little more space to be more organised on my scrappy stuff... not all done, but i am sure it will get more organised till the drawers arrived . I have just received a call from my colleague telling me how political it is in our organisation...... through her call , i have just woken up from my self centered world. I have never realise of how serious it will be between people and people around us ! Am i being just tooo simple in my life , being tooo naive or should i be involved in all these nonsense which i think life should not be soooo miserable ! Come on guys ! life is short, so wake up and get out from this miserable world . Words are always easy to say but actions are hard ... as long as you feel what you are comfortable with ! i guess that's the right way of getting on with life . Being simple is good , who cares if we have hurt others but atleast we feel contentment and happiness in us ! though it may seems to sound very selfish but nothing is perfect in this world . So do we ! So i shouldn't have think too much becos life is precious and short and most importantly we have to believe that after stormy rain there's always sunshine....... So have your thoughts and follow your heart !

Here it is....... my selfed cooked spaghetti clams, it really tasted nice and i have never realise that the taste of the clams just blends into the spaghetti sauce very well...... natural taste of the seasalt makes the sauce tasted "very ocean " yummy ! It just reminded me of our all time favourites for those of you who have tried chilli mussels in australia........ ahh...... sweet memories...... midnight chilli mussels remember ? ahh...... those were the days!

Finally Bali is also a tremendous place for shoppings where u can get everything u need with better prices becos of the exchange rates....... its really a busy and heavily polluted city with lots of motorcylces and mini vans with lots of honksss ..... but with the prices and the shopping temptation.... that does not worry us anymore... prices can be deducted to 70% at the local souvenirs shops. Lots of australian surfers shops too at a cheaper price but i doubt the goods are genuine from australia, haha ! anyway..... with the price we will not complain for more! Thats all about bali from me.....

Its time to get some sun before i leave the friendly sunny spots..... went for an hour under the sun and feels so much better........... i am starting to like the sun more and enjoy laying down besides the poolside with just some read, for now i totally understand how diana enjoys herself lazing around the poolsides... u r no more crazy na ! ha ha ! shall we go bali for our 2008's cousin's gathering ? Another two nights stayed in hyatt at sanur...... older hotel since 1973.... hotels there are getting older and older... hehe but well they have nice rooms and nice ambience although their buildings looks really old and unattractive. They serves perfect full course breakfast everyday. lots of choices to choose from, but that's what i had for my breakfast everyday...... ermmm i still missed the pancakes.....

We had our indonesian food way back after our sightseeing trip........ ayam bakar was the tour guide strongly recommendations..... we tried and its delicious.... but i do still remember the indonesian food while in perth........ ermm yummy.

Balinese massage with bargain along the beach was the best i ever had ...... what i like best was the service and the nice view that we have got . Making sense out of life

I understand that we'll never able to understand everything that is happening in our universe. Its becos we are just a tiny complex human living in a huge complex universe . So how can we get to understand everything ? I really do understand that everyone of us is just uniquely different from one another inorder to fit in this universe. We are just like the jigsaw puzzle that every pieces fits in perfectly well to make a perfect picture.
Sometime people around us that behave oddly and we just dun understand why. Thing just go unexpectedly wrongly that we blame on why does it happen . Everything just seems like not making any sense out of it . We tried our best to work it all out but in the end we'll just drive ourself crazy. I have learnt through so much in life but i have only realise that sometime people just dun make sense out of life because sometime we do things that does not make sense too , so why blame on others? Today i finally realise that life doesn't always makes sense. So just let it go and discover the peace of mind and search for things that makes you happy. That's what make sense to our life.

Limitations......

I always believe that in every one of us there should be a personal boundaries in which no one should crose either physically unless its invited..... Being to be respected is important ! Just to know the limitations on what u really want in your life . Being self respect is always important ! I can't expect others to respect me unless I respect myself . Once the imaginary lines are drawn , it will be alot easier for me to stay stronger and be more assertive .
After all.... lets try to see life not as the enemy but as a friendly sparring partner. We just dun need to improve or change to strive for perfection, but just accept yourself as who you are . Its becos we can't expect others to understand us, unless we understand ourself more. Always leave a little space for ourself each day to reflect , to understand and to respect . Keep our life just simple , bare and pure.

The Magic Bowl

Here's the magic bowl of my house ..... finally a decent fish tank ..... all the thanks to Yeu! He is the one who helped me everything in that tank......providing me with his own breed of fishes...... proper use of filter , just everything ! thank you so much ... why do i call it the magic bowl...... its becos whoever happens to sit beside the tank just can't help to take a closer look at it ! by just seeing how the fishes swim it is very therapeutic. That's the only way that helped us to move forward in life....... went to watch Ratatouille yesterday its a great show . So u guys must watch it...... though its a cartoon but sometime we just need to escape from the real world to release stress and to believe in things that are not logic ..... its becos we have decided to be simply happy and to see beyond the imperfections............. there's always sunshine after rain......... if we are willing to step forward we might even see rainbow! Is that true ? welll we have just got to be optimistic ! Becos life just needs to go on , so why not be happy ?

These are the cakes that we have always wanted to try in singapore............ travel all the way down to takashimaya just for the cakes remember ? hahaha! Here it is where we can just get it easily at bakerlyn , yeahhh that's here in brunei! Yummy....... Do drop by to try! We have nice doughnut's too which i heard, there are people writing on their blog which is a " must try " item whenever u visit bakerlyn. "Bakerlyn " just sounds good ehh...... being a little proud here, its given by me ! :)

Uplifting Trip

Ohh..... its been a while since i have updated my blog....... nothing much happening that is why nothing much to blog tooo...... Back from my trip and everything just went as it planned...... thanks god for the smooth plan.......Hopefully everything just go as welll for everyone too. Singapore is still such a country which everything is expensive, increament of GST to 7% that's ridiculously expensive for everything there......... maybe its becos as what someone said..... city life aren't suitable for kampong ppl! i will bear this in mind ! hahaa! This trip i get to meet my lovely niece jaime! she is sooo adorable. Talkative as usual but u will def love her when u see her! Her little sister tienni is just as cute tooo !

Two of my lovely layout . There's nothing that makes me look forward for the trip except my scrapbooking class! I enjoyed the class ofcourse. I have always think that both of the pics are lovely , save it up for my classes and thus it will be preserved to be the best layout for the month.

Lives aren't perfect but it can be better....... Smile aren't the most charming but it can be heartwarming. Its the month of the dumpling eating again! My mom has started making dumpling, bundles and bundles of them hanging on our patio after its cooked. It just look sooo nice with the feel of the festive season around the corner........dumpling shown on the pic was my breakfast for this morning! What time did we had our dinner ? it was 10pm........ which we usually have our supper in brunei or maybe some of us have already went to bed.

HongKong Disneyland

Its the day that we planned to go Disneyland, but heard it through the weather focus in hk that it will rain........ ahh....... yes we thought about the rain and how heavy it will be ..... but remember we have our cheap and durable umbrealla??? haahah we brought it along with us..... so we thought we will be safe....... once we reached at the station of disneyland, rain started pouring heavily ...... adults and children heading to disneyland getting ready to wear raincoats........... and there are stalls selling raincoats that have their disneyland logo on, look at our raincoat, isn't it cute ?....... each of us grab one too just not to be different from everyone in the park ............ its fun, that's the first time for me to wear raincoat becos we dun get a chance to wear it in brunei becos getting anywhere is near here.

Since its raining.......... we get into the emporium for checking out what to get ......... but i found out that i have nothing in mind to buy anything there.......... maybe i am getting old..... change of taste. hahaha! neahhh not just that becos i have to many unnecessary stuff in my drawer in which i bought last trip. So mostly in this trip my main purpose is to be there taking pictures with the characters and to watch all the shows and rides.......... i still failed to get on the dumbo rides which i always wanted to becos of the drizzling rain ........... but we get on the carousels , mad hatters and pooh rides . We missed out the Lion king show and the parades, but we did watch the Golden mickey show and the philar magic show which u guys must watch when u r there!!! those are two terrific shows.

Went on the Piratesland........... ni took pic with her funny pirates, who tries to steals gold and money from ni but after a few mins of nonsense talk........ that pirates asked ni to kill herself instead of him killing ni . hahaha! that's funny. Went on the cruise ride......... that was fun tooo .....

We missed out the Tomorrowland becos we dun have enough time! I will just save it for my next trip! After all the rides and show............ its just the right time for fireworks........ we were lucky that the rain stops and fireworks were able to be proceed. Fireworks is also must seee show .

Well after all the show.......... its time to go home.......... ofcos we were all exhausted . Look at my tired feet ????? We can't really walk anymore, we were just dragging ourselves back ( ni said she left one of her leg in disneyland, hahaha ) and our stomach were grumbling........ thinking hard of what to eat................ sooo we end up having our long missed two style fried rice and fried squid not calamari rings but the tenticles of the squid! Ermmm............ yummy...............

Lastly i have to thanks hsii for the stay and his warm welcome to us . Stayed at hsii place and disturbed him for a week.......... a little prayer for him here, " to let hsii get through his exam smoothly this year ! " SOON AH"

This wraps up my whole trip........ how should i describe my trip ? Ermmm............................ its a warm, happy and lovely trip.

UCC cafe

UCC cafe is a must for mei when she is in hk . Average rating for this cafe as food there is just nice and price is fairly expensive, but nice ambience. Not quite worth it , if you can get better standard of the food and cheaper price in the local " cha chan teng" .

Boston Restaurant

Remember " Lion Rest " in Brunei, where they served sizzling hot plate ? That's what everyone of us been talking about it again and again becos we missed their food so much ....... french toast and so many of the fusion food. Ni heard it from Jin Yong about a rest located at Wan Chai called the Boston rest serves exactly the same food that we have long missed. It may not be tasted the same becos every rest has it own unique standard, but i may say it tasted just as good! Try it if you have the chance....... every taxi driver in hk knows about the place ...................

After the heavy lunch Hsiii brought us to a very antique place for the famous " nai cha" as our teh tarik in brunei. We travelled all the way to "chung wan" for just that cup of tea. But its all worth......... becos it tasted smooth and warm................ and we bought 4 cheap and durable umbrellas there becos of the rain that started to falls.

HongKong is really a tremendous place where u can find almost every food that u fancy of . This saying may not apply to everyone but to me YES. They have all sort of varieties of food that i can't get it easily in Brunei. To me Hk is a place where i called it " Food Heaven " Here's the food that we had on our trip...... that's only our breakfast and snacks, there are more coming along the way....... on this post .

Its been a year since things have changed for me.....though i have been through alot throughout the whole one year but it just seems to be like a nightmare becos i have everyone of your support and love all surrounded besides me! that gave me the courage to get on with my life ! Its today that i woke up from my nightmare when my doctor tells me that everything is over ! Thank you everyone for all your support and the love that u have given me ! i will forever appreciate and never forget!

Its really a tough year for me..... but it also a year i learnt to see everyone true colour and sincerity! i have also learn to know what's the rules of life are. I have also learnt when to let go and walk away with no other reasons, but just accept it , deal with it and most importantly forget about it ! I guess that's how our life should be in order for us to live in full contentment and happiness. We may get older by each year but not necessarily wiser........ thus lessons that we learnt through our life are the most important knowledge that we must have. It is becos there are some things in this life are important and a whole lot things that aren't! So what's most important in our rules of life is to think about what you do that counts most and do more of it. That's what we so called Life !

Food Marathon.........

Yikeess........ i finally got my pc repaired but seems like its not working very well....giving me too many problems ... maybe its also a good chance to find another excuse of getting a better one...... in which i have not decided what to get ! any good recommendations?

Here are the pics that we took while doreen and diana were in town last week........ We were having food marathon for the whole week. All we did was just eating! i have also put on too many extra pounds which i dun even dare to step on to the weighing scales. Oh ya but we did some exercise too....... and doreen took a nap.......... she is just a " P_G" isn't she ? hehehe

Last Sunday we had our final food marathon throughout the days becos doreen left yesterday..... Coming all the way from LA but just stayed for a week! She also spent too much time sleeping , when she recovers from her jetlag she is already back in LA having her meals alone ! Missing us here in Brunei ! But we miss you tooo !!! ha ha ha!

Ok......... here are what we did last sunday !

* Doreen and i had "ah lai's kolomee' for breakfast......... at 10 am,

* Laksa and popiah for lunch ........................at 12.15 pm

* Doreen had another 4 tablespoon of porridge for snacks ( he he he )....... at 1 pm

* kwong's treat at empire for hightea at 3.30pm

I skipped my dinner for that day, but i really enjoyed the time spending with my cousins......... becos whenever there's cousin gathering there's only jokes and laughters. Cousins r still the best !
